Hearth Galleries / Christine Joy Curation and Exhibitions

Situated in Healesville Victoria, Hearth Galleries specialises in contemporary Aboriginal art, and actively supports beginning artists, and those who struggle to gain access to exhibition opportunities. A second gallery, Murnong Artspace, will open in 2022 in Glen Iris, Victoria.

Christine Joy established a career in the creation of cultural experiences, both curating exhibitions, and developing associated programs and events for almost 20 years at the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, and for a decade at family-owned gallery, The Old Mechanic’s Institute Gallery, in Healesville.

Passionate about Indigenous culture, Christine is a deeply respectful and respected collaborator, having worked with the Aboriginal community in Melbourne for many years and through her connection with Warlukurlangu Art Centre in Yuendumu in the Northern Territory.
