Title: Salt Water - Artist: Delissa Walker (This painting represents the passing down of traditional knowledge and the importance of kinship. The older generation (big circles) are taking the smaller generation (small circles) in the saltwater, teaching them how to hunt and gather from the early age thus keeping culture strong and alive.)
Title: Sardines Under The Wharf Sunset - Artist: Francoise Lane (The sardines are used by the islanders as live bait on a hand line after being jigged. The wharf sits in a deep cut out to the reef making an ideal deep water fishing spot. The colourway for Sardines Sunset and Sunrise are the colours of the sky the morning and evening of my Nene’s burial.)
