A Ngiyampaa woman born on Gadigal land, Sarah is a practicing artist living on Ngunnawal/Ngambri country since 2012 and was awarded ACT NAIDOC Artist of the year in 2015 and was recently named Canberra Women in Business’ Indigenous Businesswoman of the Year in October of this year.

Sarah has over 10 years of combined experience across private and public sectors working in business operations and building collaborative teams. Through her own lived-experience, she understands the positive impact having a healthy outlet can have for one’s mental health.

In 2018, Sarah used the knowledge from her commerce degree and CPA qualification to turn her passion from a hobby into a small business and created Marrawuy Journeys and in August 2021, Sarah made the decision to focus full-time on delivering her vision for Marrawuy Journeys.
