Bundjalung and Gumbaynggirr

Indigenous artist and Bundjalung / Gumbaynggirr woman who is proud of her heritage and culture.

Juynjulam is a Bundjalung word for Willie Wagtail and is one of my family's cultural totems.

Rosalie has travelled extensively around Australia and has lived with and worked with a variety of Indigenous groups, from the top end of W.A. to S.A. and Victoria as well as her own country of the Northern Rivers region in N.S.W.

The rich diversity of Indigenous art from different areas of Australia has influenced the development of Rosalie’s distinctive artistic style, however she prefers to primarily incorporate traditional Bundjalung markings into her contemporary artistic pieces, to share the stories, the country and culture of her ancestors with you.
