I am Gumbaynggirr woman from Bowraville. I am a mother of 2 and grandmother of 5. I grew up with non indigenous foster parents and am still learning about my mob's family history and my Country. I started painting to deal with a loss of a family member and have found myself and my place through creating art and research. I spent 1/2 of my childhood with white people and the other 1/2 with my mob. My art is my story and my journey and what I learn I pass on to my children and grandchildren, I don't want my children and grandchildren growing up lost like I did.
