Kabi Kabi, Wakka Wakka

Amanda Pitt-Lythgoe is a Kabi Kabi and Wakka Wakka woman with strong connections to the Sunshine Coast, its hinterland, and the Mary Valley. Guided by her late mother, respected Elder Aunty Joy, Amanda grew up deeply connected to her culture and Country. After returning home to care for family, she rekindled her passion for art, expressing her cultural identity and connection to Country through her work. Amanda’s art has featured in exhibitions across the Sunshine Coast, including Tall Trees, Heal Country, and Culture: Remembered; Revitalised; Reactive. Each piece reflects her pride, heritage, and ongoing cultural storytelling.
