My interest in art developed as a curious child loving the weekends camping at Yarrabah and Bessie Point, learning and exploring country with family watching and listening to my elders sharing stories and experiences.
I developed an appreciation for colors, textures, cultural traditions and stories. I was in my thirties when I began painting, my first inspiration was my childhood memories then moving onto personal inspiration as an indigenous woman and mother raising two daughters. At present my inspiration is my life’s journey over the years appreciating family, country and cultural heritage.
I have exhibited at Hogarth Gallery, Sydney, 2009. I currently sell my artwork at Doongal Aborignal Art Gallery and have been doing so for over 20 years. I’ve participated in CIAF (Cairns Indigenous Art Fair) from 2023 – 2025, selling my work in the artisan showcase through the Gimuy Waluburra Yidinji stall. In February 2025 I completed a commissioned artwork for the Queensland Police Service First Nations Division’s Women and Family Domestic Violence Safe Space in Cairns.
My goal is to continue sharing my stories and culture with people worldwide and make my business grow.
