Kerrie Farr
Wiradjuri
Kerrie Farr is a direct descendant of the Wiradjuri tribe through her father and of Scottish descent through her mother.
Kerrie has always been a creative spirit through art, dance, wood carving and craft. However, it is through art that she feels she can fully express herself. Kerrie utilises traditional Aboriginal techniques such as intricate dotting along with contemporary self-developed techniques. Being self-taught gives her the freedom to create from within, allowing her to connect Aboriginal and western cultures.
Kerrie's works are influenced by her Indigenous heritage and western living. Her love of the land is depicted in an abstract way. Kerrie utilises acrylics to produce vibrant works of arts illuminating the beauty of the land, whilst her use of ink delivers soft delicate works of art.
