Jaru

I am a local Jaru women, mother of three and love to paint and help people. I started to paint when I was younger just helping my grandmother out when she needed help with dots or paints. I grew up in the Kimberley and was lucky to complete my schooling in Darwin ,living in the Territory helped me be independent and exposed me to different cultures from around the world. I mostly paint about my experience and life growing up and spending time with my family on country and at home, during fishing trips and camping out. My art tells my story of me and my journey growing up around my grandmother and many other strong women and people who have helped me become a better person. I hope I can inspire you to share your story through art
