warami (Hello) My name is Hayley Fenton, and I am a proud Dhurug woman living on Worimi Country in Port Stephens. I am the owner of Nangamay Designs, a contemporary Aboriginal art business that I established in 2021 while on maternity leave with my first son.

My goal was for my son to grow up immersed in culture, and since I was new to the area, I felt that the best way to share this with him was through my art. Art has become my outlet for self-expression, a means to connect, and a way to ground myself in the present moment. The inspiration for my work often comes to me in dreams, and I cherish the connection I feel with my ancestors through this process.
