Dunghutti Anaiwan / Nganyaywana

I am a proud Aboriginal woman with connections to Anaiwan and Dunghutti areas of NSW while currently living and working of the lands of the Wonnarua Nation. I am an artist and owner of the business selling commissioned artworks. I am a High School Visual Arts teacher with Fine Arts training at Newcastle School of Art and Education and Fine Arts training at the University of Newcastle. I have been teaching since 2002. During this time I have had various artistic ventures of my own: painting murals for local schools, commission artworks, professional photography business, as well as collaborative projects with Aboriginal organisations Speaking In Colour and Local Aboriginal Land Councils. I work over several artistic mediums: synthetic polymer paint on canvas, drawing on paper, weaving, and more. My style is mostly contemporary Aboriginal but I dabble in other genres.
