Australian Design Centre

Australian Design Centre (ADC) is a major contemporary craft and design organisation igniting creative
ideas and building cultural vibrancy. We take a lead role in developing and supporting Australia’s
craftspeople and designers to build audiences for their work locally, nationally and globally. We do this
through our extensive exhibition, festival, touring, retail, publishing and learning platforms.
From the expertly handcrafted to the latest advances in technology, from cross-disciplinary practice to
programs which incorporate the incredible knowledge, culture and traditions of continuing First Nations
culture, our program engages the community in the possibility of making and design to creatively
transform the lived experience.
Our programs and activities offer a space for designers and makers to experiment, test new ideas, push
the boundaries of innovation in design and contemporary craft, as well as highlighting cultural and artistic
traditions.
All ADC’s First Nations engagement is guided by our Strategic Framework: First Nations Engagement
https://australiandesigncentre.com/about/first-nations-engagement/ and supported through a First
Nations Reference Group.
